From Depletion to Nourishment

From Depletion to Nourishment
Lately, I’ve been reflecting on the swings I’ve made in my life: overgiving, overdoing, running on fumes ←→ crashing, checking out, and beating myself up for it.
For a long time,I believed if I just worked harder, gave more, muscled through, it would all click. The perfect plan, the right fix ~ and I’d finally reach that mountaintop where everything felt easy (as we’re taught will happen if we just… keep… going).
But instead? I’d end updepleted, disconnected, and wondering why I felt so lost.
And let’s be honest ~ the world doesn’t make it easier. It’s louder than ever out there. So many things pull at us, demanding our energy, telling us how we should show up, what the right way is. It can feel like we’re pushing in every direction at once, unsure if we’re doing enough, or if we are enough.
Our culture feeds this. More. Faster. Better. ~ the narrative.
No myth of perfection here. I still catch myself in it. Pushing like mad, holding my breath, trying to will my business, or the world, into shape.
What helps?
S L O W I N G down.
Listening IN.
Building small moments of nourishment~ not just to recover, but to sustain.
Finding clarity inside, so I can act in ways that are true for me and my values.
It’s about creating internal sustainability.
So your energy stays steady and replenished ~ even when the world is not.
What fuels you?
Where are you pushing through instead of tending to yourself?
Are you honoring your natural rhythms?
This practice of inner tuning is vital for shining without burning out, and for continuing to move forward in ways that are aligned.
And, it’s not a one-and-done. The pull of the narrative is strong, and we all slip back into it. Again and again. Butthe more we catch ourselves and choose to replenish, to reconnect, the stronger our inner muscles grow.
There’s power in being witnessed. If you’re longing to feel more like yourself again, I invite you to a free 30-minute coaching call~ a soft place to land.
