A hawk, an ant, and the courage to be you

This week, a hawk landed on my porch.

Not flew past. Landed. Locked eyes. Stayed.
The kind of moment that makes you stop and feel something stir.

Years ago, an ex asked if I really thought every ant I saw was there to deliver a message… And I said YES.
Because I choose to live in a world where everything can speak – if I’m awake enough to listen.

Carl Jung would’ve agreed.

The hawk felt like a cosmic tap, tap… “Look again. Widen your view. Remember what’s true beyond the doing.”

After weeks of heads-down focus – planning, tweaking, showing up for the women in my seasonal workshop about our essence and protection patterns – I had started to forget my own inner sky. The hawk reminded me.

We all have these moments.
Where we get caught in an endless scroll, consumed by headlines, or buried in to-dos.
When we feel cut off from our inner spark…
Or forget the living thread of wonder that runs through everything.

And yet…
The signs are always there.

In the timing of nature.

In the numbers on the clock (11:11).
In a song lyric that plays at just the right moment.
In a text from someone you haven’t spoken to in years.
In a sudden breeze that shifts everything.

Winks from the divine.
Reminders that we’re part of something much vaster than what we can see.

When we remember the sacred nature of this world, we remember that we belong.
To ourselves.
To each other.
To something greater.

This takes courage.
Not just to do bold things ~ but to be boldly yourself.
To reclaim your wacky, radiant, essence-born brilliance.
To stop living from the neck up and let your senses lead.

We were meant to feel.
To create.
To trust our inner rhythm.
To return to the part of us that never needed fixing ~ only space to breathe.

So I ask you:

  • What breaks you out of the trance?

  • What wants to come alive in you again?

Let the ants be messengers.
Let yourself breathe and remember the wonder woven into the everyday.
Let your weird and wonderful essence lead.
